I am honored to serve Julia Green Elementary School as Principal. I have been an elementary principal since 1998. Before coming toJulia Green, I was principal at Andrew Jackson in Hermitage. I was also principal at Wilton Manors Elementary in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and assistant principal for five years in a middle school.
I received my B.A. degree from Georgia State University and my Masters and Ed.D. from Florida Atlantic University. I have spent 24 years as an educator in public schools. For a number of years I stayed home to be with our four children who have blessed us with ten wonderful grandchildren.
It brings me great joy to be with children and see the wonder and happiness they experience as they capture the essence of a new concept, or bubble over with enthusiasm as something new is presented, or hear them shriek with laughter as they play together in the gym, or as they simply walk down the hall hand in hand to the library. I love to see teachers put their heads together and develop new ideas and lessons for their students. I marvel seeing parents who genuinely love their children’s school, who work and sacrifice to make it place where all children are welcomed and loved. I am fortunate to work in this place - Julia Green. This is a wonderful place for children to learn, grow and be nurtured.
